Scripture: I passed by the field of the sluggard, and by the vineyard of the man lacking sense; and behold, it was completely overgrown with thistles, its surface was covered with nettles, and its stone wall was broken down (Proverbs 24:30-31).
Today’s Thought: A farmer’s field doesn’t fall into disarray overnight, and neither does a business. It takes persistent neglect to bring about “sudden” ruin. If you’re not careful, your facility and your business can go down-hill one day at a time.
Take a good look at your building, office, and equipment. Ask mangers and employees to help identify any areas that are not up to standard, or that require additional attention. Make maintenance a priority, and set aside budget dollars to get needed repairs done. Create a list of regular maintenance and improvement projects, establish a schedule, and follow through with implementation. Diligent effort and steady progress will prevent a gradual decline.
Don’t let your business become overgrown with thistles. Regular attention to maintenance will keep everything running smoothly, improve employee morale, and enhance both productivity and profits.
A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of hands to rest -- and your poverty will come in like a vagabond (Proverbs 6:10-11).
Make maintenance a priority, and set aside budget dollars to get the job done.
