Today’s Thought: Every bank branch is subject to an immediate audit without notice. If the audit team walks in at four o’clock, everyone stays until the books balance. Consequently, bank managers know that they have to stay prepared.
Apply the same standard to your area of responsibility and be ready at a moment’s notice to give an account of your performance and progress. Tie down loose ends, keep your work current, and quickly resolve any outstanding issues.
Your boss may have a knack for always asking about the one item that isn’t done, but if you have everything else under control, you’ll be prepared to respond with an action plan. Be ready every day, and you’ll welcome your boss’s visit.
Do not be afraid of sudden fear (Proverbs 3:25).
