Scripture: His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the Barn (Matthew 3:12).
Today’s Thought: When harvesting wheat, the job is not complete until the grain is in the barn and the threshing floor is clean. Only then can the farmer take satisfaction in a job well done. In your job, do you stay at the task until the last detail is completed, or do you leave a lot of loose ends?
When attending or conducting meetings, make sure that every item for discussion results in an action plan. Take good notes, recording any items that require follow-through. Write down due dates and list who is responsible for each task. Then, incorporate necessary action items into your work schedule and get the job done. If your work is always thorough, your performance will stand out every time.
He also who is slack in his work is brother to him who destroys (Proverbs 18:9).
The job is not complete until the grain is in the barn and the threshing floor is clean.
