Do the mistakes you make at work seem to come back to haunt you?

Scripture: The deeds of a man’s hands will return to him (Proverbs 12:14).

Today’s Thought: The next time you are tempted to rush a job just to get the work off your desk, or the customer off the phone, or to satisfy your boss’s current demands, remember that the truth of Proverbs 12:14 cuts both ways. Whether we do excellent or shoddy work, the deeds of our hands will return to us.

If you believe that you don’t have time to focus on each piece of work, if you are driven to make assumptions, or if you fail to check the accuracy of your work, you will eventually find yourself reworking the job to make it right. Studies have consistently demonstrated that repairing shoddy work is more time consuming and costly than building quality into the process up front.

If you have time to do the job over, you have time to do it right the first time. Let only quality work pass through your hands.

He who digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone, it will come back on him (Proverbs 26:27).

If you have time to do the job over, you have time to do it right the first time.
