Scripture: Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you carries out the law? (John 7:19).
Today’s Thought: Difficult or complex business decisions will come our way each day. We may have to decide whether to accept returned merchandise without a receipt, extend credit to a marginal customer, or implement an unpopular human resources policy. Unless we’re being asked to do something illegal or in violation of God’s higher law, we are responsible to carry out the letter and the intent of company policies and directives, even if we don’t agree with them.
Many major mistakes are made by employees who decide they know better than the company and thus choose to ignore standing directives. If you disagree with a company policy, talk to your boss and suggest a positive change. If you work through the proper channels, your idea may become policy.
Make yourself a successful team player by faithfully following through with your responsibilities and upholding company policy.
Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but happy is he who keeps the law (Proverbs 29:18).
If you disagree with a company policy, talk to your boss and suggest a positive change.
