Do you ever sit back and relax when business is slow, then struggle to keep up during peak times?


Scripture: The sluggard does not plow after the autumn, so he begs during the harvest and has nothing (Proverbs 20:4).


Today’s Thought: Autumn plowing is an important part of farming. It prepares the soil for the next growing season, even though the crop will not be planted until spring. Despite its importance, however, some consider it an extra step after the harvest that can be overlooked.


When activity slows at work, avoid the temptation to take it easy. Look for tasks that will prepare your business for the next busy season. Clean up office and work areas, reorganize storerooms, and restock inventory.


When travelling on business, catch up on reading, make phone calls from the airport, and keep your E-mail current.


Prepare your business for success when things are slow, and you will reap a bountiful harvest in the proper season.


Go to the ant, O sluggard, observe her ways and be wise, which, having no chief, officer or ruler, prepares her food in the summer, and gathers her provision in the harvest (Proverbs 6:6 – 8).


When activity slows at work, avoid the temptation to take it easy.
