Do you ever speak critically about your competitors?

Scripture: You shall not go about as a slanderer among your people (Leviticus 19:16).
Today’s Thought: In the heat of the battle to get a new account you may be tempted to spread negative gossip and attack the competition. But tearing others down is never the best way to build yourself up. Spreading rumors will only cause you to lose credibility.
The best strategy in marketing and sales is always to focus on your own strengths. If your competitors have areas of obvious weakness, identify your company’s strength in that area and talk about that instead. If the competition is slow on delivery, emphasize your dependability and speed. If staff turnover is a problem for your rival, focus on the stability of your staff. Selling your strengths is a surefire recipe for success.
He who conceals hatred has lying lips, and he who spreads slander is a fool (Proverbs 10:18).
Tearing others down is never the best way to build yourself up.
