Scripture: As you have done, it will be done to you. Your dealings will return on your own head (Obadiah 15).
Today’s Thought: When you have a competitive advantage in the marketplace or your products and services are in demand, you might be tempted to “gouge” your customers or increase your profits by reducing service levels.
Though profits may increase in the short run, taking advantage of your customers is a short-sighted strategy.
Competitors have a way of springing up quickly, and they can take your customers away if you’ve failed to establish loyalty when you had the opportunity.
Once customers are lost, they’re tough to win back, especially if you’ve squandered your credibility. When you’re sitting in the catbird seat, enjoy your success, but don’t compromise your integrity or your customers’ trust. Always fair and you’ll preserve your advantage for long-term success.
Do not rob the poor because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate (Proverbs 22:22).
Once customers are lost, they’re tough to win back, especially if you’ve squandered your credibility.
