Do you fail to invest in staff training because you’re watching the bottom line?

Scripture: He trains my hands for battle, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze (PSALM 18:34).


Today’s Thought: Companies that fail to train their employees list several reasons for neglecting this important priority:

It’s expensive and they don’t want to invest in people who may leave for other companies.

Managers are too busy with their own responsibilities to plan and implement effective training.

Training pulls people away from “getting the job done.”


Although it’s true that proper training costs money, takes time, and requires

Planning , not training your workers can result in higher costs from turnover, mistakes,

and inefficiency.


Studies have shown that on-the-job training makes workers 10 to 35 percent more effective, it usually requires very little cash, and it may make employees more loyal and committed.


Establish a training program now. Determine your employees’ needs, then develop a plan of instruction. Train well, and reap thousands of dollars in additional profits.


Take my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choicest gold (Proverbs 8:10).
