Do you maintain a critical eye on your own work?

Scripture: Let each one examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another (Galatians 6:4).

Today’s Thought: You have a responsibility to produce your best work each day. Make sure you know what your boss expects, then measure the quality and quantity of what you accomplish. Set a standard for yourself that goes above and beyond expectations, so that your work will be excellent and you will never be caught short.

Don’t wait for your boss to look over your shoulder. Keep your own score. If you fall short, develop an action plan for improvement.

If you take responsibility for your work, setting a high standard and working consistently to maintain your level of production, you’ll never have to worry that your annual review will be loaded with surprises. Instead, it will give your boss an opportunity to formally praise your excellent work.

Examine your work, take steps to improve, and let your performance shine like a light.

A wise man is strong, and a man of knowledge increases power (Proverbs 24:5).

Set a standard for yourself that goes above and beyond expectations.
