Scripture: The axe is already laid at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire (Matthew 3:10).
Today’s Thought: Success depends on a willingness to take calculated risks, investing time, energy, and money in an effort to earn a reasonable return. But not every enterprise will prosper. When your results do not measure up to your expectations, It may time to cut your losses and move on to something more promising or profitable. But how do you know when to pull the plug on a venture?
Start by identifying benchmarks for measuring expected results. Monitor your progress and if your plan fails, act quickly. Don’t waste time second-guessing your decisions or moaning about circumstances.
When failure is clear, act decisively and transfer your resources to more fruitful ventures.
Do not love sleep, lest you become poor; open your eyes, and you will be satisfied with food (Proverbs 20:13).
When your results do not measure up to your expectations, it’s time to cut your losses and move on.
