Scripture: He has filled them with skill to perform every work of an engraver and of a designer and of an embroiderer . . . As performers of every work and makers of designs (Exodus 35:35).
Today’s Thought: In today’s competitive business environment, many companies retain their top employees by rewarding them for new product innovations and for developing more efficient processes and systems. Some of the best ideas come from rank and file workers who are closest to the action and can see new ways to get the job done.
Employee innovation won’t happen, though, unless it is encouraged that rewarded. To foster a climate of creativity, develop an employee suggestion system that offers rewards for ideas that are implemented. Respond to every idea, even if it isn’t usable, to encourage additional thinking and new ideas. Financial incentives work, but don’t overlook the power of praise and public recognition. People like to be paid, but they also like to be appreciated.
Encourage your staff to be creative, and your business will improve by leaps and bounds
She will place on your head a garland of grace; she will present you with a crown of beauty (Proverbs 4:9).
