Do you take notes during meetings?

Scripture: Write in a book what you see (Revelation 1:11).

Today’s Thought: How often have you sat through a meeting, listening carefully but not writing down key points, and then failed to follow through on something important? If your boss or a customer takes the time to tell you something, it’s worth writing down the information.

When the Lord gave the apostle John a vision of the end times, he instructed him to write what he observed, because he knew that otherwise John couldn’t remember everything.

Time will cause your memory to fade, and may “rewrite” important details. To increase your effectiveness, take good notes during meetings, both on informational and action items. Then transfer your action items to a “things to do” list or assign tasks to your staff.

As you take notes and then take action you will be amazed by the improvement in your accuracy, effectiveness, follow-through and results.

Have I not written to you excellent things of counsels and knowledge, to make you know the certainty of the words of truth that you may correctly answer to him who sent you? (Proverbs 22:20-21).

To increase your effectiveness, take good notes during meetings.
